Does anyone have any feedback on this model/line of TVs? I am after a decent TV that is 40" to 43" max (hard limits).

https://www.harveynorman.co.nz/tv-and-audio/televisions/oled-televisions/lg-42-c2-oled-4k-smart-tv.html

We already have a LG C9 OLED for our main TV, and this would be the "secondary" main TV in a rumpus room/den of sorts. I don't think I could get anything other than OLED at this point.

In my head, $2K for a 42" TV is just crazy though?

I've gone with LG as opposed to Samsung for example for this one, because we've had LG only TVs for about 10-15 years and no problems.

Late to the party so IDK if this is still relevant, but if you are limited by your size then this (or any of the Sony/LG/Panasonic 42" OLEDs) is the best 42" TV money can buy today. The price scaling might seem a bit wacky as 55"/65" are generally the more common "living room TV" sizes, but I think it also reflects that they have to squeeze the same amount of pixels as the bigger sizes in a smaller form factor.

At this point, until Samsung Display rolls out more QD-OLED sizes, any 42" OLED is going to be an LG Display panel, so much-of-a-muchness and down to personal preference between brands for things like picture processing, more HDMI 2.1 ports etc. As you already have an LG C9, you are already familiar with webOS which is one of the better implementations of a "it just works" OS on TVs.

I'm looking at one of these as a desktop monitor myself, since I really want a 38" 21:9 sized OLED monitor (which is not a product that exists on the market right now), but being able to switch between the former and 42" 16:9 sounds like a neat trade-off.

Smith City has them at $1899 currently, but personally I want to see if there is any more elbow room in that price come actual Black Friday sales. If you had a teensy bit of wiggle room with your max, the 48" Panasonic JZ1000 is going for $1698 at JB

Thanks for that, I was limited by size, but pushed it to the 48" for only $200 more :)

Good choice, I think for the primary purpose as a TV and the viewing distance vs. 4k resolution, that is definitely the lowest size you want to go to. I think I've seen more 42" C2s as desktop monitors than actual TVs haha
