JB website page gone, but I was told in store yesterday that it wasn't in stock in any Christchurch stores, but that it was on order. (as information just from someone reading on a screen on what their internal system said)

Anyone know how more about how JB exclusive steelbooks generally work? Do they get more than one shipment of these or is it just an automated system putting in the wrong thing?

I was planning on going in again within the next couple of days regardless, but it would be good to know my chances.

I would double check your local JB. I just walked into JB Wellington and picked up the MINUS ONE steel off the shelf. It was the last copy though, so I guess not much stock floating around, had 3 regular 4K copies however.

They also had Terrifier 1-3 on 4K and Blu-ray there too!
