Did anyone get their hands on "A Bridge Too Far" from JBNZ? I was going to pick it up in the current sale but online at least is showing backorder only. Wondering if they got stock or not.

Not sure, but it looks like its one of those that may not have a high demand and they are getting them as they are ordered.

Makes sense yeah.. bit of a hefty title to carry a lot of stock of.

Probably missed the Godzilla Minus One 4K steelbook :(

JB website page gone, but I was told in store yesterday that it wasn't in stock in any Christchurch stores, but that it was on order. (as information just from someone reading on a screen on what their internal system said)

Anyone know how more about how JB exclusive steelbooks generally work? Do they get more than one shipment of these or is it just an automated system putting in the wrong thing?

I was planning on going in again within the next couple of days regardless, but it would be good to know my chances.

There was one Steelbook copy of this at Palmerston North JB when I was in there on Wednesday.

The TERRIFIER films have released today online at JBNZ (Feb. 10). They are included in the 20% off sale, but you only have until 23:59 tomorrow if you want to grab any at the sale prices.

This is kinda funny considering they just tried to tell me the webpage for the steelbook never existed in one of the Christchurch stores a couple minutes ago! I would hope they would have records for these things even though they like to just delete the page when things go out of stock.

Not sure why they'd say that, especially given I've picked up many 4Ks in the last 2 weeks that are either old stock without webpages, imports from the UK (got Stand By Me import), or my new stock that isn't up, like my Godzilla -1 Steel.

If you get the right attendant, they can often use the computer system to check stock, regardless of the website. Even then, it can be wrong though; just 2 weeks ago I picked up an item I was told was out of stock nationwide (by JB Wellington), but I saw it sitting on the shelf when I visited JB Manakau.

We all thought that physical media was taking its final breath when Disney pulled out of the Australian and several international markets, and Sony/Universal/Paramount passed their business over to All Interactive Distribution (AID).

I have to say that AID have done a great job in getting many 4K catalogue titles that most of us thought would never get a release in these parts. Putting already announced titles to one side; in April we will also be getting;-

Deep Impact 4K
The Firm 4K
Paddington 4K
Mulholland Drive 4K
Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut 4K
Rango 4K
Marnie 4K
Flashdance 4K
Backdraft 4K
The Man Who Knew Too Much 4K

Nosferatu, Pretty in Pink and Planes, Trains & Automobiles have also been pushed back to April 2nd.

With recent events, I bet that Mulholland Drive disc sells well. I'll be trying to pick it up.

Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut 4K

Did this ever get a regular Blu-ray release over here? I picked up a US import when it was brand new, but a while ago I tried to find the NZ rating for it and couldn't find it on the FVLB website.

I found that R16 classification labels were issued for the following two releases of Watchmen (Blu-ray) in New Zealand.

Watchmen: Special Edition - 30th September 2009

Watchmen - 2nd February 2018
