Anyone who is a Bob Dylan fan, or, indeed, a 60's folk music lover; Will be waiting patiently (like myself) for a 4K Ultra HD release of A COMPLETE UNKNOWN, which has rave reviews across the web. Nominated for 8 Academy Awards including Best Picture, it covers Dylan's early acoustic years from 1961 to 1965.

The good news is that the US will be getting a 4K release on April 1st (Dolby Vision/Dolby Atmos), so we should possibly get it a couple of weeks after that. A Digital release is planned for February 25th.

EDIT: I just realized that Searchlight Pictures are the studio behind this film. They are part of the Disney organization, so we may not get a physical release over here.

Searchlight Pictures are the studio behind this film. They are part of the Disney organization, so its possible that we won't get a release over here after all. Fingers crossed. We should be okay for a digital release though.

Warner Bros. UK release many SteelBooks that don't get a releases in other parts of the world. The latest title to go Steel is Stanley Kubrick's FULL METAL JACKET (1987). Its up for Pre-order at Amazon, with a release date of March 31st.

The Australian Blu-ray boutique company; IMPRINT are to release on 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray, the 1953 Sci-Fi film IT CAME FROM OUTER SPACE (1953). Release date: April 30th.

The Limited Edition release includes the classic film in 2D on 4K UHD and Blu-ray, the 3D version of the film on Blu-ray, and the made-for-TV sequel It Came From Outer Space II (1996) in standard-definition – all in a Limited Edition Lenticular Hardcase.

Expect JBAU to announce it as well.

We all thought that physical media was taking its final breath when Disney pulled out of the Australian and several international markets, and Sony/Universal/Paramount passed their business over to All Interactive Distribution (AID).

I have to say that AID have done a great job in getting many 4K catalogue titles that most of us thought would never get a release in these parts. Putting already announced titles to one side; in April we will also be getting;-

Deep Impact 4K
The Firm 4K
Paddington 4K
Mulholland Drive 4K
Watchmen: The Ultimate Cut 4K
Rango 4K
Marnie 4K
Flashdance 4K
Backdraft 4K
The Man Who Knew Too Much 4K

Nosferatu, Pretty in Pink and Planes, Trains & Automobiles have also been pushed back to April 2nd.

There was a Classics Remastered 4k of Mulholland Drive that came out locally a few years ago, remember seeing it JB. I thought it strange it would get a re-issue so soon, but would welcome it, as the 2021 release disappeared quickly. Weird how that happens, so hard to know which titles are sold out in the blink of an eye (with no signal of it being a limited edition), while others sit on the shelf for years. Heat was another one that appeared briefly and then was gone.
