Shohoku's "speedster" and point guard, Ryota Miyagi, always plays with brains and lightning speed, running circles around his opponents while feigning composure. Sony US are to release a SteelBook for A KNIGHT'S TALE (2001) on May 20th. No purchase links yet, but it is a US wide release.

Kimchi DVD are a South Korean media e-tailor, who periodically release SteelBook Exclusives. They also have many titles which have been released in other countries. I have bought several SteelBooks from them over the years, and I found them fairly easy to deal with.

It really is worth a browse of their website, its a bit of a treasure chest for SteelBook collector's, with manageable prices. Unfortunately, a lot of titles are sold out. Kimchi DVD SteelBooks

Sanity Australia are importing the Disney film MOANA 2 4K Standard and SteelBook Editions from the US. priced at A$66.99 and A$99.99 respectively. Its about NZ$85 to import the SteelBook from Amazon with free shipping after conversion,

Over my years of collecting DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD; I have occasionally come across articles discussing disc rot. I never took much notice of these articles, I only ever read the headline. However, the problem hasn't gone away, and long time collector's of 15 - 20 years, are making it known on various websites, that they are now suffering from disc rot.

If this is truly a thing; what can we do to combat the problem? It seems that how we store and handle our discs can be a cause of rot, also poor mastering techniques from certain studios that we can't really do anything about.

Personally, I haven't had a problem so far, but I keep my discs in a Man Cave in my house, which doesn't suffer from extreme temperatures, and I have digitized all of the films that I truly want to keep. If you have any discs in storage in your garage or other outside room, it may pay to take a look at them. or transfer them to a room with an even temperature. Another problem I have read about is SteelBooks rusting. I'm sure this only happens to people who have high humidity in their storage area, but, still, its something to be aware of.

Has anyone in this thread experienced either of the above problems, or am I just being over cautious?

I have never experienced rot on any of my own personal DVDs or Blu-rays, but I have seen plenty at OP shops I've browsed at that are rotten, so seems like it can happen, but if you look after your discs it's not a problem.
