Thanks all, I have contacted the manufacturer and they advised that it might be a problem with the standard circuit. And will have to go and get that fix.

I use this and it works fine (different brand/model). I thought the timeout was about 15 minutes on mine but I've never timed it. I've never noticed a problem.
