Just a thought. You have tried extending the timeout for data collection? I know this was a problem for me although I finished up with random sections with no data at all rather then .'s

@ nety when it runs when scheduled, scheduler says that completed successful (0x0) or something like that and when I run it manually it also says exit (0) or whichever code means successful
This is timeouts during data collection. It does not cause the process to error out it just stops all the data being collected. The process the end code will be 0. The setting I am talking about is under advance and is the data collection option (sec) option. I think it is 30 seconds by default. I increased mine to 120 seconds. I do not think disabling that service is going to correct your issue as it is not necessary for anyone else.

Hi, I dont think its the actual EPG collection causing the error more the inband keeps over writing it even thou in the guide listings it says ie tv one-EPG collector.
Does anyone in Wellington, receiving from Kaukau have an EPG-Collector.ini that I could have to eliminate the collection as an issue?
You can tell if the actual collection has worked by checking the log. At the end of a collection there is a list of stations and the number of records collected for each one.
All your stations should be listed and there should be no gaps.
Well against all advice I renamed mcglidhost.exe and totally stuffed up quite a few things.
I did a system restore to a few days ago, full channel rescan and ran EPG-Collector, and now I have a properly populated EPG, so I dont know what happened but it seems to be behaving itself for the last few days.
On a side note, who knows or where can I find out exactly which Freeview channels are available in Wellington, Im getting channels such as tvCentral and TV Rotorua.
