Me again. If this falls into networking then apologies. Let me know and I'll repost.
WDTV works well with the readynas and lets me add my shares / folder directories from the NAS to the device media library. All good. Runs solid from what I see.
As discussed previously if I want to use netflix through the device I need to change the DNS to the one supplied by Unlock us. When I do that Netflix works fine but I get a message onscreen saying media source has changed etc, select a new one. Odd but went to find the NAS under network share and I just get a continuous " I'm doing something spinning arrow " under window shares options when I try to find my files.
Not understanding heaps about networks, why would that happen and how can i work around it so that I can continue to stream netflix while also use WDTV to access my NAS ( without having to retype / change the DNS) every time. The good lady won't go for that !
I was previously using TWONKY as a media server to access local PC drives and stream to the WDTV but can't see how to get that working on / with the NAS in an easy fashion.
I've got everything setup using DLNA from the readynas if that helps at all.
Is it my network setup ?, the DNS change ? or sharing options I have setup on the readynas - or possibly all 3 ?
