allstarnz: i hate their epg and their search function, they need a massive overhaul. The new Foxtel guide one is great. I hate the search more though, so hard to use.
The Skyguide is a waste of time, is always out of date.
They do not really *have* a search function. All they have is a browse function allowing one to navigate over the collection of information they have. A true search would allow one to specify a specific target value for the search parameter and then present the matching content -- only.
The current guides allow one to access information by channel and time. Especially for users of the My Sky service, the notion of TV watching changes -- what channel and what time no longer particularly matter. What one wants to do is locate a program by name and say "record that". Where and when it airs is not very meaningful, as you will watch it some other time anyway.
Is there any forum or website in NZ where one can express opinions about how the service works and features that would be useful -- and have those opinions seen by someone who might do something about it?
