I am glad I am not a subscriber of sky TV NZ. I just had to visit their site to find their channel lineup for the parents-in-law, and the default page loads very slowly, but then after this it won't load any other page. Useless site.

Works fine for me but agree that it's slow. I am not a Sky subscriber either but do access their pages to get programming information for the channels that TCL provide from them.  BTW TCL also have the channel guide on their site which maps to Sky's channel numbers

You could use the TV Listings page at Yahoo!Xtra

I was actually trying to find the channel numbers. It looks like some have changed because the PIL couldn't find the news on 58...

They changed March 1st.  News channels can be found on 90-93.

I used the 'Channels on SKY' link on their website.

You're right... getting the current programming details is slooooow.

Have no problems with it. About 20 seconds delay when try to look at different time on guide.
Can be speed up by limiting channels displayed by selecting genre of which one selection is my channels so can put any channels you want displayed in that one.

All channels seem to be there except tv1 and tv2.

All of sky's customer service, internet and phone, is rubbish. I was asking a question and their useless auto- answer system couldn't answer my question so they didn't answer it at all. They just sent me an email saying that auto- answer couldn't answer my question and thank you for contacting sky.

Useless. For customers paying $50 a month, I would expect better.

And, try to find to find the phone number for sky on their website. Why don't companies put their main contact number on the homepage?

MySky blew up on me today:( 2 days to get a techo in.

I find that both the SKY and TCL online TV guides are soooo slow to load.

Whenever I try, I manage to get the first result. Whenever I try for a second time it always times out.

Solution.... Buy the "skywatch"............. Kill tree's, Burn petrol to deliver it, pollute making the dyes to print it, pay good money to buy a book of ads..  they make the site so slow so you BUY the skywatch, Very clever marketing!

i hate their epg and their search function, they need a massive overhaul.  The new Foxtel guide one is great.  I hate the search more though, so hard to use.

The Skyguide is a waste of time, is always out of date.

I wonder how much is due to folks hammering the site to get EPG information for their PVR's?

If the networks would make their programming information available freely (or for a small fee) that would help out greatly

Our MySky series link has been playing up. We sent them a question using their websites help thing.
This was their reply:

Hi XXXX,

Smart Assistant answers were provided but did not answer your question.

That is all they provided us with. Hardly helps us, does it?

you used to be able to get an XML feed of sky data, but they blocked access and started charging for it i think

Regs, you can use XMLTVNZ, that gets info from the Sky site and XML's it for you. Site still works just fine :)
