Good luck, it's a process of elimination.  This is what I hate about HDMI.
I have 2 HDMI matrix switches, 2 Splitters, 2 extenders it was hell trying to get it all going.  Every now and then I won't get sync on one of the displays, a whole lot of remote buttons, on/off of source/display in the chain fixes it. By that time wife is either peed off or bored.
Even more annoying when trying to fix it with a universal remote!

Yup..you just described my living room....for now it works well when i sort the avr input first. Needs to be telly on, avr onto input source and then nuc on and windows splash screen pops up everytime so far.. Once it has that handshake i can also switch sources on the amp back to sky etc and its still all good when i switch back.

The yamaha /projector setup doesn't care when it sees the htpc...just works out of the box....however im hoping the hairpulling is now behind me..

Just need to get the delays on the harmony one fixed

Weird....
