An ST is not a VT... The only Pana that holds value is the VT, kind of like the FHD Kuro from Pioneer being the only TV that people paid silly prices for. However, $2500 is too high.

Kopkiwi: Just about all reviews state the ST50 is at least on par with the VT30
A calibrated ST50 is nearly on par with a Calibrated VT30. The VT30 does have additional calibrations that make for a slightly better picture and black level.
I ended up getting an ST50 for $3000 as the VT30 at the time was $3600
I feel $2500 is a good price considering you cant buy these any more and to get something in 65" with similar picture quality and black level is well over $2500.
It was certainly a sad decision by Panasonic to end the high end Plasma line
I'm glad I held out as it seems everybody is having a pretty good TV sale this weekend.

I could wait longer and eventually get a nice 4KTV on clearance but in the end you can always do that I suppose and our borrowed HD ready Samsung plasma is starting to make my brain go fuzzy.
