Right, not what I'm after. I need something that will accept sound from my TV and take it to wireless speakers over 3-4 meters

Why do you have to take it from the TV? If your source is sky then just get a bluetooth sender plugged into the sky box's analog outputs and send to whatever bluetooth speaker you want.

Bluetooth senders are cheap as on ebay/aliexpress, and if its a mysky you can probably power it off the otherwise unused USB port on the mysky.

Go to dx.com and get Bluetooth audio transmitter (plug into your TV Audio OUT) and get a Logitech UE Boom from a local retail store to pair with the transmitter.

I like the look of some of these 'wireless' solutions but there is still the problem of the power cables. Has anyone come up with an elegant solution for concealing them?

You might have to look around - probably Jaycar but not in mainstream stores.

TV's normally only have a digital out, the cheap bluetooth senders need analog so would need a DAC as well.

Could use the headphone out but that would turn the tv speakers off.

Get decent sound in the main room! For the love of all things good - GET DECENT SOUND!
Whether it's a audio visual receiver, or a soundbar... go that way, then get your streaming on from there.
