To be fair, I picked good sound. Wife is very understanding, cooks well, and cleans too (when I'm revolting). I still can't stand the sight of the wires and the space it sucks up behind/around the floor standing speakers.

The best bet is build/put some shelving at strategic places and hide a bookshelf in there.
