Yes the OLED screens are pretty expensive but they are very good panels. The picture quality is simply outstanding (I think @sbiddle would agree too) and they really stand out when compared to other TVs in the same store.
If I'm not mistaken, LG are the ones who make their OLED panels available for other TV manufacturers too, so a "Sony OLED" could possibly have an LG panel in it.
don't forget, the physical panel is only a part of the modern digital tv.
the other important parts are the electronics and software to drive the panel.
this can mean the same panel will look different in different tv's.
