I own 2x VT 65-inch plasma. This was the top model and only the one above it was the ZT which never made NZ. Year or so ago brought the Sony AIE 65 OLED and tbh it is better than the pannys hand down. But I paid 7k for it. Newest Sony the A9F is new reference level OLED. It may not make NZ shores but I will be very tempted if it does to replace another of the VT. None of these will be the price you want. I would suggest you look at run outs from LG, Panny or Sony. Most OLED are very similar unless you are feature hunting like I was. I can see you getting something very nice about 4k or a bit under. Or a nice Tv at the 2.5k aiming.

sdavisnz: You can’t go wrong with an 8 series Sony lcd or a 8 series Samsung lcd.

Not sure about Sony, but I actually can't tell the difference between 6, 7 & 8 series Samsung.

sbiddle: Only thing with Sony us they use Android TV which people either love or hate - there is no middle ground.

Personally, my opinion on Android TV is I don’t hate it or love it but one thing is that it’s definitely overrated.
