Can you solder a resister in series? Not sure if that has any drawbacks? If = (Vs - Vf)/R

, it went walk about in the garage and was a rubbish low power one anyway.

kiwijunglist: sellotape or colour them in with a black marker/vivid.

Black vivid - ~~Perfect idea! Will try it.~~ Tried it, doesn't block the light at all pretty much, doesnt really 'stick' to the plastic very well either.

Looking for a simple solution that doesn't look bad.

if you put a covering over the surface that blocks out the light, hopefully the bulb doesn't overheat =)

a blob from a glue gun in the little hole on the front of the case might work too

I just put several layers of masking tape into the recess of the lights.. bit fiddly getting bits of masking tape that small but you can just add enough until the brightness is what you want. I put quite a few more in the HDD recess as I found the flickering annoying whereas the power is fine with a higher output (but still half what it was).

Someone switches to HDMI on the TV (mysky HDi) and then i'd forget about it if both LED's were completely dead.
