You must have the Infinity USB (USB Only). It doesn't Emulate a Serial Port so can't be used with most of the softcam Programs.
You need the Infinity USB Phoenix or Infinity USB Unlimited..

Thanks

The configuration file that came with NDSCam 0.0.0.7  sould look like this.

Doh!  The one place I forgot to look.... I had assumed it was a MP config.

Thanks Wally5!

Man...  Can't get rid of the 10sec glitch in MediaPortal.
CMD=48 and still little (if no) change.  The transparent thingie is set 2x.
I have the NZ45xx card.  Although it looks like a 2B?

The NDS log is repeating this;
17:36:32.624 |ECM packet received in 9996 ms.
17:36:33.248 |DCW NOT processed.
17:36:33.249 |DCW not precent.
17:36:33.249 |Process took 0625 ms.
17:36:42.635 |ECM packet received in 10012 ms.
17:36:43.313 |DCW not precent.
17:36:43.315 |DCW NOT processed.
17:36:43.315 |Process took 0679 ms.

looks mighty suspicious to me in that it happens around that 10sec mark!

Anyone have any ideas?

Cheers

Played around with this demo version of DVBViewer 3.9.4.0 last night and got it working. Lot different than Technisat version, does it take MultiDec plugins like NDSCam, if it does i will buy it    http://rapidshare.com/files/151363783/DVB_Viewer_ver.Demo.rar        http://www.geocities.com/thereal_pikachu/

eXDee: Wally - you say ncemucam works instead of NDScam? Any big differences between them? (just interested)
Just wondering exDee, did Mr Joker ever answer your pm about development of NDSCam, also do you think he was the author of Ncemucam aswell.

The problem is the the speed in which the card can be read.

ECM packet received in 9996 ms.
ECM packet received in 10012 ms.

That is slow. Unfortunately if your card is of an older type then it may not be possible to get it going any faster. Theoretically setting the transparent boost feature of the infinity unlimited to 2x could allow the card to be read at twice the speed, but while I have noticed a difference it's no way near going twice as fast as normal and again this is probably just a limitation of the sky card itself.

I can't actually guarantee that changing the CMD values to anything besides 0 or 12 actually does anything. My assumption is that it's some kind of buffer setting, to state how long to use the current ECM keys before changing to the next ones. Lower values seemed to have glitching occur more frequently while higher values such as 5000 resulted in dropped frames. My sweet spot was 36, but then it may all just have been a coincidence or in my imagination.

One thing that did make a difference was entering the BOXID in the ini file so as to not having it set to automatic. This took a lot of the guess work away from the NDScam plugin. Doing this also enables the 17x cards to work with the latest version of NDScam (v0.0.7).

He never did, however he did annouce he has completely ceased all development of NDScam and will not release any source code. I don't think he did ncemucam.

Hey all,

Does anyone know if there are different revisions of the NZ45xx card and how I can tell what rev I have?

Given that this is not looking good for me.  What are the recommendations for IR blasters?  I don't have anything onboard and the only IR connectivity I have is via the HVR4000.  I do have repeaters already (for the amp), so I guess I only need something that MediaPortal can drive to change the STB channel via another channel on the existing repeater. Does that make sense?

Thanks much!

Also, where do I find my BoxID?  I found the STB ID and the card ID.  Is it one of those?

Thanks

From the MP RC3 notes:

PayTV related configuration changes in TV-Server
Inside the TV-Server Configuration we did a few changes in order to get cards with and without CAM's to work properly.

If you use a CAM + smartcard from your provider, you will have to enable your CAM in the new configuration section we created.
Please have a look at the TV-Server Manual where this is described in detail.

Is this going to make things easier?

Not really, by default in RC2 all cards had 1 cam enabled whether it actually had a cam or not. RC3 has set the default to be no cams unless specified.

You can use NDSCam v.0.0.5 open the monitor and get it to start decrypting a channel and it will show the full BOXID.
