Hi, does anyone know if WinCSC_130 will work with Nds or any another plugin that will do the job. Cheers.

I've tried this CAM and found I had to start it each time I changed a channel in DVBProg, even through the config file was set to auto start it didn't seem to play ball.

http://www.underground.co.nz/modules.php?name=Your_Account Still using XP as my main operating system, reason for this, cant get vista drivers for Pixelview Pro 2 capture card. Also you can no longer subcribe to Skys UHF service any more, i guess its days are numbered. Still get a very watchable image hooked up to 40" LCD, cant complain, its free. I dont have my own 45xx card, cant afford to pay for sky,  use the neigbours card. Also have a Skystar 2 that i use with ALTDVB, i like ALTDVB, but it doesnt run on vista. Tried a very old version of ProgDVB 4.56.2 and Ncemucam 102, got this from DVBN, this software is 5 or 6 years old and works so well on vista, also tried Ncemucam with ALTDVB, had to manually select correct ecm pid every time i changed channel, but when i go back to same channel it selects correct ecm pid. With ProgDVB 4.56.2 you had to manually enable Ncemucam, when you open ProgDVB, apart from that i think its faultless. NDSCam 0.0.0.3 was the one that worked for me. With ALTDVB it really worked well, didnt try it with ProgDVB, NDSCam read me file says their are conflicts.

sky uhf will be going till the end because if they shut it down it means the other 2 freeview muxes can start up, so its in skys interest to delay as long as possible.

Just expect furthur degridation to the services like all the good things moving to sports 2 and I wouldnt know what they could do to make movies any worse then it is at the moment.

I finally got the latest version of NDScam working on an Infinity USB card.  I gave up on the Jaycar build I had, I think it was a dodgey build.

The Infinity is a nicer unit in that you don't have to worry about getting a housing for it as it is already there.

Anyway, I have the dreaded ~10 sec glitch with a NZ45XX card and MediaPortal.
Tried the transparent boost to 2x and that seems to make a small difference, but it is still there.  Not good for the WAF, as I am sure many of you can relate to.  Can't go to 3x boost as MP then says the channel is scrambled.

Mr Alan in the previous thread mentioned something about increasing CMD to 12 or 36.  What is this and where is it changed?

Thanks in advance!

Doh!  The one place I forgot to look.... I had assumed it was a MP config.

Just wondering, what card readers work the best and which is the better interface, USB or Serial

Jaycar reader is proven to work the best, though you have to assemble it yourself. Some are using Serial-USB cables for them and apparently they work fine.

I personally have a Infinity USB Phoenix. They are kind of the industry standard for these types of things..

It uses the USB for Power and Changing between Modes Phoenix/Smartmouse and use serial for the actual communications. This is one of the best Smartcard readers  (if you want better you can go to the Infinity USB Unlimited made by the same people)

Both these devices are 100% Linux and Windows Compatible which I've had the infifty USB Phoenix running 100% under Linux And windows with Various Softcams and for other non satellite card applications

About $110 delivered to NZ from (and you dont' have to build it) (compared to about $60 for the jaycar kit) http://www.infinityusb.com

LennonNZ:  I have the Infinity USB reader also but mine does not have any serial port on it (i.e. its not the Unlimited model). Did I get the wrong one, or is there a way to use the USB only reader with NDSCam and MediaPortal. NDSCam only seems to communicate using the serial port?

Cheers Mike
