Have you guys had any trouble with volume?

I have mine set to the FM function and sometimes when I turn it on, the volume is excessive. For example, today I had volume set to about 10 which was fine. Then I turned it off for an hour, and when I turned it on again it was so loud I practically had a heart attack. I swear my ear is ringing from it. Now it's on 6 and it sounds okay, but there is some kind of anomaly with the volume. It's like it turns itself up while it is on standby?

Just another thing wrong with this. I might take mine back, I think it's still within warranty.

Yep, I have the same issue. I'm not 100% sure if there is any relationship between the Power On/Off from the remote control or the unit, but sometimes, the volume level stays. Also, I can't recall if it happens when using different sources, e.g.: Bluetooth.

I finally took mine out of the box and have the same volume problem on FM.

This means it won't be suitable for the use I intended but at that price I doubt I'll bother returning it.

Fair enough. Turns out mine is just outside of the return period now.

Bump for update if any - I really don't know what else to try 😕

Just addressing this again: I still think the easiest workaround is to just use a app on your phone and relay the sound.

If you just want to play music, Spotify will do this for you. Connect the phone to the speaker, run the Spotify app, then run Spotify on your computer and in the bottom right select to use the phone as the playback device.

Hi mate,

Thanks for coming back to me.

Yes, it's a pain. I managed to get a newer phone and used the old as for Spotify connected via Bluetooth. It helped, since I can manage Spotify on multiple devices at the same time but now what I was after, right...
