The emotiva are not bad but the Diamond 9.1 posted on TM above are far better sounding.

As with all things audio, it's definitely a matter of taste, but I would argue the opposite. I'm a big fan of the AMT tweeter and Emotiva though, love my T1 + C2 + B1 combo.

Not that it matters now, but I loved my B1s in a desktop setup. They are definitely not designed to be played loud, but I think are perfect for a nice neutral sound and throw quite a wide soundstage even in nearfield.

Where did you find the B1s for $300 @networkn? I'm always open to more Emotivas!

At that relatively low price, what about a pair of Wharfedale Diamonds 9.1s? Pretty common and will offer decent enough performance.
