If you have any screens with sensitive coating you need to make sure that everyone in the house are on the same page regarding cleaning. Over the years we have collected quite a few free sprays for cleaning spectacles and computer screens that may have been OK at the time but coatings have changed. I think the last freebie my wife got with glasses are just relabelled alcohol swabs. I remember a BIL finding that the last expensive Philips CRT monitor he bought had a coating on the glass that wiped off.

Our tv has the only microfibre to be used on it in a pocket on the back of the screen.

I was highly sceptical of the magic eraser idea but after installation there were a few smudges on the screen which were very obvious in art mode with black backgrounds.

I bit the bullet and using a small piece of magic eraser ever so slightly damp and with very gentle pressure I was able to get them off without seemingly doing any other damage.

Just an update - Samsung is sending out a tech as part of the warranty claim, so I will post the outcome of that.

If no joy I will try the magic eraser trick on the corner or something, and contact the people who PM-ed me about buying the set.

Finally something asked for photos in Art Mode, I will post those today.

The 2022 Frame TV (LS03B) and 2022 Serif TV (LS01B) have a special reflective surface that is designed to reduce glare. However, some fingerprints and smudges will be harder to clean because of it. Try using a microfiber cloth, but if it doesn't work you can use a melamine foam sponge (magic eraser). Follow these steps exactly to clean the screen:

Yeah I posted this earlier with screenshots, however there are multiple pages which give different information, including using water on a cloth to clean it; which doesn't work.

The Samsung tech did a visit, tried to fix it, couldn't, so he is replacing the front panel. I got the impression it's a known fault (and he mentioned the same problem on a 75" set he recently serviced).

Oh well sounds like you'll get it sorted. So sorry, you won't be moving to a 75" for a while...

Seeing as he's replacing the panel, it might be a good idea to run a couple quick tests. Try a damp cloth to confirm it doesn't remove the coating. Could try a magic eraser too... then you know what to do once replaced.

I've never needed anything more than a damp cloth myself.
