One can find it using Google. I am not sure which language the firmware is though.

No. Sony wrote BluRay. Microsoft was supporting HDDVD the other standard, HD DVD.




I think Panasonic has more Blu-Ray patents than Sony does.

Im having issues with this disk on my HTPC, Powerdvd and arcsoft media player (latest software versions), won't play it (very glitchy), tried it on my main pc aswell with the same result. Thinking maybe Its a bad disk... Can sombody confirm if they have it playing in one of these software players?

That might be so but Sony is the founder of Blu-Ray.
