Well that's the thing, nobody seems to know for certain if there's a legal basis to it or not. Sky correctly gambled that the take-down notices would be going to people without the means or will to defend themselves. I guess the problem with the Australian ruling is that it might remove whatever small incentive Microsoft may have had for striking a licensing deal here in NZ.

I'm just grateful that we have these alternate sources. And I agree that we should let this thread die and get it off the front page.

Well ok but one last post - isn't this all irrelevant now that there is a working MHEG5 solution?
