if i could time travel it would be just to check the lotto numbers for the 30 mil super draw in the future, the rest would take care of itself ;)   . Poor old Eastern Hifi i used to look forward to the new years opening sales at 50% off every few years when i was ready :)

well i have ended up with the following solution which is ok.

As the amp wasnt up for replacment at all I have managed to passthrough 1080p bluray and have trueHD sound for 2D movies, and i swap out cables to play 3D (player to TV direct) and just accept the DTS sound for 3D movies via optical. The budget is zero for any other options and although i think i can tell the difference in sound im thinking a cheapy amp will be about the same as mine with the lesser quality audio input.

the one above was no good :(    .  i got told it was ok by the seller , kept the text of the conversation to cover myself if it didnt work and it didnt , got a full refund inc freight and was told to keep the splitter. So i now have a 3d tv splitter but still havent solved the issue just cost some time really.  the splitter is only good as a point where i can easily swap cables between 2D True Hd setup and 3D DTS setup.
