In your CI slot you need to plug in a CAM module. Into the CAM module you then insert the decoder's smartcard.

You'll have a hard time finding a CAM for Sky TV. Sky use a system called Videoguard, and they dont sell genuine CAMs for this encryption system. Some UK/European CAMs like Diablo CAM might do it. I dont know though.

Yes I mean sky. We're moving to a no DVB-T area so only have satellite access. Don't want to only have freeview but some HD content too. Have found a viable thread under HDTV. Thanks.

I also don't know of anyone that is doing what you want to do. The difficulty is of course the CAM. If you wanted to decrypt multiple channels at once with a hardware CI module and CAM then you'd certainly be limited to channels on a single transponder. Also, the CAM and/or card driver may not support decrypting multiple channels at once. The Cinergy might do it, but support is experimental... ie. I'm 90% sure it won't do it out of the box, but I do have a patch here that some people say works. Don't count on it working. The better option for support right now would probably be a Technotrend S2 3200. You could go down the Digital Devices route, but that is relatively expensive and has caveats of its own. Read the thread I linked above (again) for more info...
