Personally, I think it's time to grab yourself a new receiver and sell the old one on Trademe. Nothing better than being able to juice the last few ounces of performance out of your components by plugging everything in, using the best possible connections.

Very cool.  I think switching is the way to go... The more I think about it, a new receiver isn't a good idea (and will keep the wife happy!) just for essentially switching capability.
