crackrdbycracku: I'm just curious, now that you have go the TV to turn on, what do you think?

I know it is subjective and all but I'm in the market for a new TV, would you recommend one at that price?

I'd recommend, this over the Konka, but just for a few small reasons
http://bit.ly/x9AHgB

Panasonic Viera 32"
$429

Pros over the Konka:
- IPS panel, wider viewing angles, better colours
- IPTV, DLNA compatible, so you can connect it to your network
- Higher contrast ratio
- Faster response 5ms as opposed to 6ms on the Konka

Cons over the Konka:
- Same 1 year warranty as the Konka
- $429 as opposed to $399

I have moved across the ditch.  Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

So for $30 you get 4 more benefits? I think thats pretty good... :)

That Panasonic was $399 or $398 (depending on the store) last weekend...
The Panasonic will also have more inputs, as well as an analogue stereo audio output (as well as a headphone + optical out).
Easy choice really.

Not to mention that panasonic are one of the top tier brands, and not just a house brand.

I believe the power buttons on the Panasonic tvs are quite easy to find too...

Actually I had a konka for awhile as a second tv (LCD, but analog) it was fairly good in fact I was impressed at the time at the speakers on it, much, much better than our more expensive tv in the lounge.

Was a bit slow to change channels however which I found annoying for "surfing". I also took a few extra seconds to find the power button on it, the first time I plugged it in so sounds like the power switch hasn't changed after several years.

Also FYI, konka has an onsite warranty probably just means they pay the courier fee to pick it up...
