I realise that I do not have all of the frequencies entered. However as I do not subscribe to Movie channels on the particular broadcaster that I am collecting listings for, why would I want to collect them.
Also, I have seen some threads on geekzone suggesting that the correct dish definition would be more like
Dish:10750000,10750000,0
But again, the definition in the ini file worked twice before i started editing the station definitions
Any help gratefully accepted
cheers

Have you tried running the Collector after you have had the bundled software working and before a rebbot?
I have heard that it's possible some lesser known tuners need settings that only the bundled software has access to. A reboot would maybe clear those settings.
Could you also try it with freq 12546 commented out to see if it's that specific frequency or not.
Istalled the grabber last night with the Wellington Terr frequencies (690000, 706,000 and 778,000). Changed GBPVR to access the created XML file but EPG info only generated for the non TVNZ channes, ie top 2 frequencies.

Just a quick query on finding theinfor for setting station exceptions. Is there a definitive list of SID's? I have been referring to http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/skynz.html but I see that the supplied ini files block some SID's that are not listed there
First off - GREAT program guys - I was using the Freeview DVB-T settings at first and it was FLAWLESS but I wanted to be able to record from my set top box the additional channels I pay for that I could no longer get my listings for in the usual manner so I purchased a Hauppauge DVB-S card and started downloading the DVB-S EIT listings - Again - its working flawlessly so far (Only day one thought!) - Just thought I'd add my two cents on setup.
A) Dish:10750000,10750000,0
This is the setting that worked for me - the default setting Dish:9750000,10750000,11700000 did not work at all for me - I have a dish installed by my PayTV provider (S*Y) only around 6 months ago or less.
B) Channel Exclusions
I spend a fair bit of time with the collector logs to ID the various "other" channels to exclude the ones I don't pay for - I have basic and sport only, costs far too much if you ask me when all we want it for is Super 14 but hey - Kids are too young to leave at home and go to the pub to watch or go to the game so what are you going to do! I'll paste in my exclusions as I labelled all of the channels I've excluded so others can copy and paste my settings and simply comment out the channels they want back in - I haven't added the ones I am using but its a start and could save someone a fair amount of time!
I have to say a certain companies attitude to listings and cease and desists has made me start looking into options with Smart Card Readers etc and is really even more likely to do them out of my MYS** Business than before. A) The scraped guides I was getting were far less reliable than I now have and B) With a card reader and a couple of satellite cards I too can record more than one PayTV channel at a time.
(EDIT) Changed all references directly to my PayTV providers name - didn't want them finding my post here and attracting their attention!
# TV Stations - Excluded stations list - any station in this list WILL BE IGNORED # Param1 - Frequency # Param2 - Service ID
Thanks for posting this - I wish this had been available 2 weeks ago when I started playing with the grabber - good effort!!
I too am wondering about the dish definition. I have a Tevii dvb-s card and it comes with a program called My Tevii. In order for that to work, I had to use the Dish:10750000,10750000,0 definition. The dish is about 2 yrs old and was provided by a common PayTV provider at that time.
However in the grabber, the default definition actually works. I have to have My Tevii running in order for the grabber to work. When I run the grabber, the transmission I am watching on the tv actually blanks out for a few seconds. It comes back when the grabber starts accessing the listings.
Now just thinking out loud here but I am wondering if the grabber is seting the dish to the wrong definition, hence blacking out the transmission and then pauses for a few seconds. In that time, My Tevii has reset the dish definition and the listings can be accessed. - Or .. i could be completely wrong
I will try the Dish:10750000,10750000,0 definition and see what happens - and see if it will grab listings without My Tevii running.
I want to offer my congratulations and gratitude for the efforts that have produced this EPGCollector - great work guys. I would be interested to know whether anyone has compared the guide data gathered via Freeview transmissions for the Freeview channels with the data in the pay tv guide for the same channels - is it identical? If not, do you have a preference for one or the other?
