I think thats a good idea, if the people who are using this have some time they could write up a guide (or copy an existing one in the depths of this thread!) for their method, be it NewCS, NDSCam, DVBSBridge to VMC/7MC or through Mediaportal, GB-PVR etc, it would be great. A list of known working hardware apart from the jaycar would be useful too. I don't plan on using this any time soon due to the whole ease of use thing going on with the HDi but its certainly a good idea for many people.

I set this up awhile ago but people seemed to only want to continue to post here. I created 3 areas;
1. Hardware - Card Readers, card types etc 2. Software - ndscam how too etc 3. Vista MCe vs Media Portal - what is better / works for all options etc..
eXDee: Yeah true, i remember that. Well satch has first post, so i reckon the latest up to date guides should be put in there then.
Alternatively, we make use of HTPCNZ wiki and stick them there. That might be a better idea, then link to them from the first post?
Yip, all for that as it would be good to help out newbies trying to get the thing going and it was hard enough to get this going without having to spend a day reading and searching.. :-)
Satch: So if you have My Sky with two tuners you pay two subscriptions? I doubt that is the case...

With Multiroom you can get another standard SKY digital decoder installed so that people in different rooms can watch different channels at the same time. The second standard SKY digital decoder will receive all of the same channels as the first decoder."
Satch: I'm happy to post how I got my setup working using DVBDream/DVBSBridge/NDScam if people would find this useful. When I get some spare time that is.
