Yep, Sennheiser NZ are contacting a private collector who lends it out to them for meets and such like to see whether it could be available on the day :)

what do they do with the demo headphones after such a show ?

give them a thorough disinfecting, flog off as ex-demo samples or biff them out ?

It'll keep getting relisted until the event. This is a pretty rare opportunity here in NZ, so I'd jump on it!

Do we have to bring any of our own music? I have a Fiio X5 which I'll bring along to test some of the headphones with but for things that wouldn't work with that presumably the owners will be able to accommodate?

I also presume that it's not really worth bringing my headphones along. I use the ATH-M50s and VSonic GR07 and also have (well my dad has) Sony MDR-10RNCMK2.

I'll be doing a post to headphonz.org soon about what to bring on the day.

In brief, bringing your own music along will be a good idea - for the most part a small pendrive with your reference tracks should suffice (there should be turntable and CD transports at some demo tables too). If you use a portable source then great idea to bring it, others will no doubt want to hear it, and it'll let you work with only one unknown variable in the chain (the transducer).

So it is. For some reason I was sure it was today.

But if thats the case I still wont be able to make it.
