If anyone wants one, I have sold my PCH to a GZ member so wanted to get another...

reply or PM me and we can go halfs / whatervers if there is more than one reply...

Just need to find some friendly shipper to say that the declared value is only $75 or so... then it would pass under the customs radar.

cokeman2: yeah i thought i might get away with the gst ,but they dhl rang me up ,so didnt have much choice , i payed US$45 for the freight ..cant do much about these things ......
)

I think you should have challenged them on this.  They have been trying this trick in Ozz as well asking for customs clearance  and the like.  When challenged they back down..   It Sounds to me like the local DHL is pocketing the $45.  I would complain to PCH about DHL..

But ordering two would mean less shipping costs, but potentially duty due to the total being more than $400.....

Its illegal to falsify the value of imported goods. No shipping company in their right mind will do this for you.

What's the deal with the power cables? Do they supply the correct power cable for the specific country or do you need to get a converter?

It comes with a 110 / 230V power supply and a European power cord.  Just use a spare PC / monitor power cord that you have to replace the euro one..

They should send you an e-mail with the DHL tracking number in it, then 2-3 days latter it should be on your doorstep.

If they havn't sent the e-mail then your credit card won't have been charged, since they haven't yet processed the order.  It all happens at the same time.  Which is a bugger if you were working to a particular exchange rate when your pre-ordered it, rather than when it was shipped.

DTS should work fine over coax and possibly HDMI (haven't checked that one). It won't work over analogue though since Syabas haven't paid a licence to decode DTS internally.

What client are you using to serve up the content?

Not sure what you mean?

The PCH can output up to 1080i over component to a compatible monitor and I suspect up to 1080p over HDMI to a compatible monitor. If you are using HDMI then the cable can carry both audio and video if that is what you meant
