Movieman:

Harvey Norman also have the C9 at the same price as Noel Leeming.

After years of "negotiations" at several appliance stores in Christchurch, I have always squeezed the best deal out of Harvey Norman. But try them both, you may be surprised at how good a deal that you can get.

Thanks, I wasn't seeing the 65' C9 on HN website anywhere so assumed they don't have it.

@BLazeD - as per this post on the Black Friday deals thread, apparently removed off their site but confirmed it's still available in store.

the C9 is also on sale at Smith City for $3998.00 and they do price match.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

Grabbed a 65 inch C9 from HN for $3900.

Now I am freaking my 2.5 year old is gonna damage my beautiful new screen and need to find someone who deals in wall mounts and in-wall wiring (lmk if you know anyone in Auckland Central). Currently have a cabinet with PS4, SKY, etc and TV on top. Would like to get wall mounted TV on a swivel and then need to work out what to do with the SKY box and console etc?

Although you should definitely post up higher res shots with the imgthumb tag. Otherwise, how else can we snoop on the rest of your audio setup?

@BLazeD

Congrats the new TV, I'm sure it will be an awesome upgrade.

Certainly a professional wall-mount and in-wall install is the way to go if you want it to look the biz-ness. Maybe create a new thread asking for an AV installer in Auckland, as I am sure I have seen some on here.

But if you want to save a few doolas, have a stud-finder/drill/level handy and know how/want to use them, you could always DIY!

Get one of these bad-boys (or a reticulating one, but beware will most likely sag over time), add some cable hiders from Bunnings, and a nice TV unit (in your case, probably one with doors), and you should have a pretty decent setup.

Thanks @shinychrome - I made the post :)

For the mount, I wanted to get one that swivels as the setup is in a corner more or less. I was hoping it wouldn't sag and was looking at these for example:

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MOABRA0143/Brateck-Lumi-LPA36-466-37-70-Full-Motion-Bracket-T

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MOABRA0182/Brateck-LPA57-466A-37-80-Contemporary-Design-Full

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MOABRA0145/Brateck-37-70-Full-Motion-Bracket-Tilt--15-5deg-Sw

https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MOABRA0123/Brateck-Full-motion-TV-Wall-Mount-for-50-90-Curved

I figured you'd get what you pay for. Also, stupid question, LG says the VESA is 300 x 200. Is that the same as 200x300 which is on PBTech? None of them to be "300x200".

Uh, makes sense in a corner. Definitely, some of those higher price Brateck ones look pretty bouty, I guess go for the one that looks the most reinforced/highest weight rating without going mad on cost. Certainly a good AV installer should have some ideas there.

Looking at the back, it looks like the standard VESA pattern. Maybe they live in a weird world where the measure width first, then height?

This is also my dilemma, same age, and she has a tendency to think our current TV is a touch screen

I don't want to wall mount it so need to think of ways to discourage her from touching the new C9
