@networkn:

Only!? :)

I think you missed the joke. "Only" as in "the price of relatively new small car"

Yup, I did miss that :)

I mean, it's triple laser and short throw and if those lumens output are true then I can see it's price jumping.

One thing that will be interesting, is if you turn on the lights or open a window and let some light in, how much the picture suffers.

Any word on the contrast ratios?

From the specs, Contrast Ratio 2,000,000:1 (Dynamic).

You get much brighter colours with blinds closed but even with these open the picture is still great.

Is that concept of projecting up at that angle going to work on most walls?

It's a cool concept, but that seems brutal to get square/consistent.

On another not we have Q90 50" TV now via Noels, just waiting for an installer to add an aerial outlet on the other side of the room.  (retirement village 'villa' and I'm not allowed to do this myself...).

Seemed the best option for both anti reflective and wide viewing angle.

Waiting to see what the onboard audio is like and may consider soundbars afterwards.

It works. I had to do nothing and it just... worked.

Does it have a calibration capability to self level/create a square image?

Wouldn't work too well on my textured wallpaper and don't think SWMBO would like a 16 x 9 White panel on the wall :)

Textures won't work well but you don't necessarily need a white panel - the wall I am using on is light blue. A colour neutral wall is preferable but not required.

The premiere is designed to be used with a light rejecting screen. UST laser projectors like this are usually sold with the screen as a ‘system’. The screen mounts in a frame that stretches it flat, so doesn’t matter about the wonky wall.

From memory some UST laser projectors have an app that allows for correct adjustment. The triple laser Premiere is the ‘9’ series I think(Edit:LSP9T). There is a lower specced ‘7’ as well (Edit:LSP7T).

I don't get that one would spring big bucks for a UST projector and not buy an ALR screen....
