We bought an LG C1 55" last week and I've just started looking around the 'net for calibration advice.

I just found this recent YouTube item by well-respected, long-term TV adviser, Vincent Teoh. Seems that C1's and G1's built from October 2021 onward have a software problem with HDMI 2.2 affecting their playing of 4K content from XBox Series X, PS5, Blu-Ray boxes etc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ifkarBLgnWw

LG have acknowledged the issue and have told him that it will be fixed with an upcoming update of WebOS.

Our C1 received an update to WebOS 03.20.80 last night. It seems this is the fix that I was referring to above.

Just realised I inadvertently said HDMI 2.2 in my earlier post - should have been HDCP.

Are jb hifi deals limited to just what they’ve put on their website for black friday? Seems not that much range available on sale. LG’s aren’t in there so no deals on a C1 at the moment.

I think C1's are in fairly hot demand and possibly short supply (only a few branches of the various retailers have stock) so maybe unlikely to be discounted for BF. Which size are you looking for?

When I was buying a 55" in-store last week, JB quoted me $3,029  - which I thought was nothing special - sticker price was $3,199. I got $2,976 at HN a few doors away, so bought there.

Likely 48” for smaller room. It’s at $2500ish but was hoping for $2200ish but doesn’t seem like any retailer is going that low.

Yea they did, missed it thinking it would likely come up again. Might end up popping down to the local store and asking.
