I've got a pair of used KEF HTS2001 stands boxed up in my garage that I would be keen to find a new home for. Send me a PM if you are interested.

@theoldfarter: Do you mean these speakers?

KEF KHT 2005.3 - K1

Coincidentally, it was a set of these that I replaced with the soundbar! Are you thinking of retaining the speaker base (so seating that on the base of the stands), or resting the oval shape of the speaker on the base and relying on the screw at the back to hold it in place? (The adjustable strip through which that screw goes is fairly flexible so I'd not rely on it in this way.) Unfortunately I sold the speakers so can't test them out, but IIRC there's a bolt hole on the back centre of each speaker - is that correct? If so I think they'd easily attach to the adjustable strip. I have a feeling, though, that the base plate of the stands may be wider but shorter than that of the speakers (though you could measure yours to check - the stands' plates are 120x120 mm).

Yes, that is the one.

I am interested in these:  https://www.pbtech.co.nz/product/MOABRA1095/Brateck-Lumi-SS01-Height-Adjustable-Metal-Satelite

I live in Masterton, which is 92 Klm distance from Palmerston North, the nearest branch to me.

I emailed "Head Office" this:

"I see that there is no stock at any of your stores, apart from "Auckland - Head Office".
I am reluctant to purchase four (4) of these stands and find that my KEF "eggs" will not mount on them."

"Will you send one stand to your Palmerston North store, or just the attachment head, so that I can take one of my speakers there to see if it can be attached securely? If you do and my speaker can be secured to the stand/head, then I will purchase four of them."

If I get a reply, it will be interesting to see if they will go that little bit more, to get the sale.

I received a reply seven days after I sent my enquiry email.

In short, PB Tech head office said that I need to buy the stands online & get them sent to the Palmerston North store (nearest to me 100 KLM away) and take my speaker over to there. If it does not fit, I can apply for a refund.

I told them that one week is too long to wait for a purchase enquiry. In that week, I made other arrangements and bought a pair of speakers.

Dunnersfella:

E-mail the supplier, Computer Dynamics and ask them for their recommendations.

They will know more about the speaker brackets than most...

Eight days have passed since I emailed them and no answer so far.

I do not expect to receive a reply.

I bought the speaker stands from Spid & they arrived today.

They will suit me fine.

Hey guys, do you think this wall mount can hold q990b's rear speakers? I believe these are 3.4 kg and this wall mount claims to hold 3.5 kg

Personally I'd go for brackets with way more tolerance for a heavier speaker, especially given I'm somewhat sceptical about the claims of such products.

While obviously not directly comparable given the different design, that I've seen these speakers hanging down and wobbling when attached to stands that claim to support well above their weight would make me go for quality brackets even if the cost was way more. (I'm so glad I went with the quality stands for our rears - they're as stable as anything and look decent.)
