Nety:
SJB: [snip]

And what happens if the format of the web page for the internet feed changes? Wheres the support and source code for that project?

Steve

Absolutely. Not saying the web source would be any better, in fact as it is run by one person I am 100% reliant on them fixing any problems vers open source means it is not one person. I was just interested in getting feedback on how it would handle changes.

As you say being able to switch from one to the other is probably the best of both worlds.

It's a real shame Freeview don't broadcast more info with each program. You should see what some broadcasters do. There is a guy in Brazil who is using the program to collect EIT data and he gets loads of info with each program including category, cast, directors, dates and even country of origin.

Cheers

Steve

Hmm have not checked again since Tuesday but if anyone is using the H source are there updates on TV1 & 2? I looked on Tuesday and 1 & 2 only went to Sunday.
Think I might be making the switch this Saturday.

Nety - your post got me worried (albeit 6 days after you sent it) but all my channels (1,2,3,C4, Prime. TVNZ6 & 7) seem to be running fine. Did you make the swap in the end or did things sort themselves out? If you did make the swap I'd be interested in hearing how it went in case I ever have to venture down that track.

..the tread goes around that far for a reason!

It seemed to come right the next day. I started the swap process but ran into some problems getting the EIT data off the satellite feeds and was short on time so left it. I now have found the info I needed but once again need to wait for time to continue the process.
