Thanks for this app, I had this running with Version 1.0.16, It isn't the most stable with my configuration so when 1.0.17 came out, I tried that, it wouldn't even run. I noticed version 2.0.0.14 today and decided to give it a go, I still have problems, with the new version, as soon as I run it it crashes, I thought it might be a config file difference, so I ran it with the /tuners arguement it crashes straight away and logs nothing into the logfile this error appears in the dos window:

Windows 7 dual Hauppauge hvr4000 tuners 1.8GHz sony Vaio Core 2 Duo Model VGX-XL201.
Am using version 2.0.0.14 but am having inconsistent results with it merging programs that run over midnight.
Best I get is for TV3, but nothing seems to work for TVNZ.
My log says I am missing 'Parser Format.ini' from my clean install
Have run with each frequency that carries chanels for Christchurch

Recommend a complete uninstall of your old version (backup your INI file if required) as some users have reported issues when upgrading that were fixed by an uninstall/re-install.
The GUI utilises preconfigured TuningParameter files so that the user just needs to choose their location and does not need to know the frequencies. having said that - please inform us of any errors / changes to the TuningParameter files by PM so we can update them for later releases. As with version 2.0.14 you need to choose only 1 frequency (Scanning Frequency) on which to collect the data.
Summary of changes:
Issues Fixed: - Schedule times for programs spanning midnight were not correctly shown (2.0.14 only) - Stations that do not broadcast EIT data were excluded - MHEG5 collections now copy the station logo to a subdirectory of the output path and put a reference to the logo in the XMLTV file. - A fault that cause the program to loop indefinitely if the signal could not be acquired for a frequency has been fixed.
Changes: - First release of the Configuration User Interface (GUI) - INI file structure changes (note new EPGCollector.exe will STILL work with your old INI file - but you cannot edit an old style INI file with the new GUI) - MHEG5 collections now allow you to optionally download the station logo if present (stored in InstallDir\Images directory) - MHEG5 collections now optionally put the CRID numbers broadcast into the XMLTV file. - OpenTV collections now have different editing applied to the program title and description. - OpenTV aspect ratio and audio details are output to the XMLTV file. - OpenTV series and episode references are transferred to the XMLTV file.

I know I'm being a little picky because I don't actually watch TV33 etc. but I don't like having gaps in my guide...

There is a satellite tuning parameter that the tuner manufacturers use to pass the DISEqc parameters in. As we didn't use it, and because we had some obscure tuner problems in the early days, it was set to -1.
I think this probably affected any tuner with a motorised dish. We just took the -1 out and left it at it's default value.
2.0.15 will do what you want. Just put the frequency parameters in the format for the type you want to collect so for example
Thanks for explaining about the DiSEcQ thing... Regarding getting terrestrial and satellite with one ini file: I tried commenting out the tuner parameter and adding a frequency line for terrestrial into a satellite ini created with the new GUI. The GUI didn't like that. It came up with a 'warning...' dialog saying 'no stations detected: check signal & frequencies'. Attempting to run with the ini *kinda* worked, but instead of doing one satellite collection and one terrestrial collection it did two collections with whichever scanningfrequency was placed first in the ini. So to be clear, if the config contained:
Hey Steve, just gave v2.00.15 a go to capture Foxtel OpenTV data of the Satellite in Australia, and noticed I wasn't able to configure it with the appropriate settings for Australia via the GUI (a few things were a problem, but the main one was that the correct frequency - 12438000 - wasn't available form the list of options).
My old ini from the previous version resulted in no xml file either.
I'll try manually editing a new format ini file and see how I go.

After much messing around, this is what I have found. If I copy just the v2.00.15 executable into an existing, working v2.00.14 directory (overwriting the v2.00.14 executable), I get the same error as above, regardless of whether I use a 'new' ini file or an 'old' one.
If I copy the v2.00.14 executable into a v2.00.15 directory (again, overwriting the v2.00.15 executable), then I can get it to produce an xmltv file, but it looks like something produced by v2.00.14, ie, no HD, Widescreen or subtitle flags, and the old method of titling (ie, it breaks up the title where there is a ':').
btw, I uninstalled, deleted the folder, and reinstalled between tests.
mm1352000: Cheers for that. Try using your old INI file with the new version of the executable. ie. Don't just add the extra ScanningFrequency. PM me your old INI along with the extra frequency you'd like to configure if you like.
Working on why it's scanning the same frequency twice within the GUI now...
