browned: Was playing with 15a last night and noticed that channel id changing wasn't working. I Normally set the ID's to the actual channel number as below.

[STATIONS]
Station:8746,29,1302,8 // TV3 PLUS1
Station:8746,29,1300,3 // TV3
Station:8746,29,1301,4 // C4
Station:8746,29,1303,9 // C42

It's a problem with the new style parameters produced by the GUI. If you revert to the old style it works.

We will fix it in the next version.

Hello people.
I,m trying out the new version in the U.K to grab free-to-air epg (ie/sky).
I've tested about ten frequencies out of a possible 60ish, and am only getting 12 hours epg.
Is it just a case of finding the right frequency for a full 7 days or so epg or am i doing something wrong (again).

The base Pay TV frequency for the UK is 11778000. A couple of guys in the UK are testing/using it at the moment.

However you may need the version I am working on to get all channels. The earlier version missed out on some HD channels.

PM me with an email address and I'll let you have a copy.

Forgot to mention - the collection type is (obviously) OpenTV.

Hi Steve : email cue1boy@o2.co.uk
I am trying to us version 20015 to grab only the free-to-air channels (no paid tv servises)
This is my ini file , but it only collects 12 hours of epg (should be at least 7 days)
The satelite is astra 2a,b,d and eurobird 1.
There is a total of about 60ish different frequencies , i've tried about 30 but they all produce only 12 hours.

Output:Open TV.xml     // The output file is to go here.
Tuner:2       // Put your tuner number here - determined by running the program with /tuners
Satellite:282      // Use the satellite at 282.0 east
Dish:9750000,10600000,10600000    // Put your dish parameters here
Frequency:11623000,27500,2/3,H,OpenTV   // This is the 'base' OpenTV frequency in UK
Location:GBR      // The collection is taking place in GBR
Option:ACCEPTBREAKS     // Allow short breaks between programs

OpenTV is for Pay TV only but you may be able to get all the stations you want from that anyway.

The frequency to try is 11778000.

Folks... Seeing this thread is getting quite long, and sometimes more than one problem is being discussed, I've decided to create a new Geekzone forum to discuss specifically EPG programs - the EPG Collector, and any other related software.

The new forums is here: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?forumid=126

Perhaps we should have a new topic on that forum for suggestions, a new topic for bug reports, etc?

Does anyone know how to import channel logos using the Windows 7 EPGImporter TOOL.I can't seem to get this working.I know about My Channel Logos program but that is no good cause if i map ITV1 HD to ITV1 London it forces ITV1 HD to use regular ITV1 Logo and not ITV1hd.

I'm having trouble setting this up to function with Telstra cable. I am a bit unsure what format they use with for the EPG, is is MHEG5?

Current I have the line ScanningFrequency=466000,6956,3/4,QAM64,MHEG5 to attempt to do the grab. It collects the station data fine, but the collecting MHEG5 data line continues until it times out or I cancel it.

I have also tried EIT and OPENTV with no luck.

I suspect i may have my settings wrong, any advice? The software works great for Freeview grabbing.

[GENERAL]
Output=tvguide.xml

Tuner=2

Timeouts=10,900

TuningType=DVBC

ScanningFrequency=466000,6956,3/4,QAM64,MHEG5

Presumably you are trying to collect the EPG for Pay TV. If that's the case the collection type is OpenTV.

However unlike Freeview that is only broadcast on a single frequency. You will have to try them all to find out which one it is.

I don't know of anyone who has done this here yet so when you get it working I'd like a copy of your ini file to include in the samples that we release if that's ok.

I assume they do as the Radio EPG shows on a STB.
