Nety: Just looking at the spec's am I right in that it cannot pass a AV signal through to a screen?

Not sure what you mean?

The PCH can output up to 1080i over component to a compatible monitor and I suspect up to 1080p over HDMI to a compatible monitor. If you are using HDMI then the cable can carry both audio and video if that is what you meant

OK what I am talking about is this.

I currently have a monitor in the bedroom that is fed Telstra's analogue TV via a external TV Tuner. It would be nice if I could replace the tuner with the popcorn hour and have it stream from the media centre as well. Does not look like I can do that though.

Hmm I'm thinking about getting a Popcorn Hour rather than a Mysky box. Really depends on the cost of the new MyskyHDi box.

This is what I had at home (before I sold my PCH)  in our bedroom I had the PCH connected up to my Dreambox so it would stream TV off the Dreambox using zapstream, the only thing I couldn't do is change the channels using the PCH, and couldn't be bothered setting up the "channel.html" file that has been documented on the pch site on how to set it all up using a dreambox.  Worked nicely for me :)
