I was a bit unclear in my previous post. As for EzyE, xmltv in Media portal recognises the channels and the mapping seems fine. But no programs imported. The file being read has content, and doesn't seem that different to the xml file generated by Freeviewtoxmltv.
I took the advice to look at the EPG Collector forums. It seems it could be a Mediaportal issue according to a few threads. Some time in the next day, I will muck around with the xml file to see if I can see what the issue is.
