I got onto this late, I was in transit when sales went live and just go home from the airport.

Thanks for the Element14 link. About 10 minutes ago I managed to register and place an order and advised 38 day wait. I can live with that.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

bodysoda: i placed my order via their 0800 90 80 80... very friendly auziees :)

was it free shipping via phone?  thought only free via website...  didnt even think about using the phone.

Representative didn't mentioned anything about the shipping cost. I got the invoice emailed to me. Total cost is $48.26  + $7.24(GST) = $55.50. I am not sure shipping is added on top of the invoice.
I have to wait for the charge to appear on credit card.

How much did you pay via website?

you can use xbmc with the hulu/free cable plugins to view those sites, not sure if the youtube works the same way (should do).

theres also a nz on demand addon for xbmc to view tvnz/tv3 on demand stuff (not sure if this still works, been awhile since i used it).

but thats only helpful for xbmc, would need flash support if using a desktop environment (i think adobe has stopped flash development for ARM)

yeah the hulu/freecable addons are really good, they basically just open the stream directly and playback the video feed, not requiring the flash player.

watching terra nova on hulu addon right now :)

Interesting I was actually charged USD$49.99 and this converted to $61.29.

Seems a bit unfair to give you a price in NZD then bill you a different price in USD??

So you used this link?
http://nz.element14.com/raspberry-pi/raspbrry-pcba/sbc-raspberry-pi-model-b/dp/2081185

Have you been sent another invoice or something?

FYI, My credit card hasn't been charged yet. Not that I would expect it to either. At least not until the stock is ready to ship.
