I would be interested to find out if the TV / bar were damaged due to HDMI cable hot swapping?

Did you unplug both devices from the mains when connecting the HDMI leads?

During the initial setup everything was off, at the wall, when connecting the HDMI. And right from then there were issues.

So I am guessing the Beam was faulty right from the start. But had to go through the process to find where the fault actually lay. I had concerns about the TV to start with as I had had issues with the HDMI to my PS4 previously. Which proved to be right with them replacing the main board. Did this fault cause issues with the Beam, who knows. But thankfully it's all sorted now.
