Will reboot and try again. What card are you using? I have an HVR2200 with these drivers: HVR-22x0_7_3_0_26198_WHQL

I thought the 2200 was DVB-T ie you should be setting up antenna, not satelite.

Duh, yeah, well spotted. I have two cards in the machine - the HVR220 (which I cant get working cause it wont let me configure digital service yet..anyone else got that going? How?!) and a Pinnacle Dual Sat pro.. which now seems to be crashing.

Perhaps I'll try installing on a spare hard drive in my main media pc and see how that goes. It has nova-s cards which I suspect would be better supported..

Interestingly, it did stream divx content to my xbox last night quite nicely, albeit very slow to display the list of movies. Will try some more today and see how we get on. Although with build 6801 I was pretty sure it also picked up ISOs and VOBs from my video collection and played them natively - which I didn't see it do last night..

Myself my wife and my 4 year old have been using Windows 7 6936 for a week now and we are all very impressed. We have had DVBT, SAT and Analogue all mixing perfectly. Recording 4 shows at once. Guide working fine. Perfectly stable.

Unfortunately last night it started to crash whenever I clicked record on the guide so we are back to VMC. ;-(

Can't wait for this to be released!

Nice release. Installed a couple of days ago. Also got DVB-T, sat and anlogue all playing happilly together and using the sat EPG for other chanels (I wish sky would release Prime to freeview so I could get the guide)

I noticed las night that FFW on the hi-def stuff would crash and flick between 2 scenes if you FFW too fast. Not sure if this a decoder problem or hardware related. Has anyone experienced this?

Bring on the public release - it rocks

I had that in the back of my mind to "try". Was unsure of the transpoder freq and also was unsure if they scrambled it.

Anybody using build 7000 regularly yet? Does it have the same guide problems as TV Pack when using the Freeview DVB-S EPG data? Can you use both DVB-T tuners on a HVR-2200 or BGT3540 (other forums indicate there are problems with twin tuner cards...)

My backup fixed the recording crash problem. We are all good on 6936 again.

My HVR-2200 has had no problems recording two at once. It looks as if windows understands that this is a hybid card as you can select the tuner for use as DVBT and analogue at the same time.

I have had some one-off recordings disappear so I am scheduling everything as a series at the moment.

I have not looked for any 7000 builds yet as the beta shoul dnot be too far away and the build I have is pretty stable. I have to kill Media Centre every couple of days or so.

Uhh Ohh, I've got the crashing on recording problem. Must have been an update somewhere. I am restoring and will watch the updates more closely.
Wasn't aware of the 7000 build, has anyone tried it? Any good? I found 6936 to be very stable (until recently) and had huge WAF.

I've found an interesting feature - Windows 7 also seems to support playing ISO files directly - no need for AddIns such as MyMovies and CloneCD to load it. Just find the ISO in the movie folders and click it. The file will just play, like a normal DVD...

Having a play with 7000 today, Media center runs very nicely - found all DVB-T channels straight away and h264 decoding worked perfectly.

Only issue is the MHEG plugin crashes and can not get read the guide from the broadcast stream.. oh well - hasn't changed then :P

Also I can't find the program library options in settings like Fiji Beta had (which gives you access to all the plugins) to have a tinker with MHEG

Hmm just noticed something else, I have a dual DVB-T tuner (NOVA-T-500) and when I start a manual recording it will stop live tv and start recording on BOTH tuners on the SAME channel!

Will have to investigate ;)

Been playing around with 7000 for several days Have the same problem when trying to record using Nova 500 guess will ahve to wait until early Jan till 7004 is released to seeif this fixes the problem otherwise everything seems pretty stable.

there was talk of windows 7 handling the mkv container by default - does this work or do you have to install a splitter like haali still?

Any way of getting a legit beta of this at all? I am too dubious to pick it up off p2p.

Also how does it handle dual booting? Problems getting it to coexist with vista on the same machine?
