I had a little trouble getting it to work initially. I found in one of my instances of DVBViewer that the DVBLink guide settings as Transport Stream (which it has to be) had not stuck properly. ? just reset that and it worked. Also I am not 100% sure that the guide filled when viewing the channels but it definitely scans and fills in the background correctly a couple of times a day.
BTW the DVBLink RC is out now and it has changed a few of these things - havent had a chance to install it yet.

I've dumped the Transport Stream guide for now, and gone back to BSE. I had everything updating, but it gets too messy with the HD channels, which only have now/next. I used the SD channels as a source, but it missed a couple of recordings, unsure why...
Currently running on W7 7201 - for those of you interested the biggest change was that it dropped about 20% off the CPU utilisation for three tuners. My machine was sitting between 50-70% average while running three tuners, under 7201 this dropped to around 40%, or 30% with 2 tuners. Had it recording 5 channels (3 x Sky, 2 x Freeview) without missing a beat.
This should solve some of the glitching issues a few of you have been having as well. Also got CS 1.66 going on Virtual Box, but it doesn't seem much faster. Will have more of a play later in the week.
Sound goods - I've just downloaded 7201 too and was planning on doing a full reinstall in a day or two as well.
I wondered about the now/next thing causing problems when the sources are combined - I did notice the record symbols disappear in the guide but the programs have all still recorded so far...

I think they were having issues with it so they gave up... The main reason to use 1.66 that I can see atm is pincode support, which didn't seem to work first try. Other than that it seems to perform much the same as 1.65 on windows.

I've got a problem with a couple of sky channels not decoding. Frequently I get "service is scrambled" and it only ever seems to be on either E!, mtv, sky movies 2, and sm greats. All the other sky channels are sweet as.
Sometimes the channels will work one day and not another. It's definitely not to do with updating the card. If I check acamd window it advises that newcamd is "not able to decode". So I figure that it's likely to be a setting in my newcs config or perhaps even acamd config.
Has anyone else come across this?
Also it's probably worth starting a new post sometime soon titled "Sky via mce using acamd with newcs and dvblink" seeing as ndscam is no longer relevant and our setup has evolved. I might tackle this after I solve this last glitch and post all my configs and a blurb so others don't have to scan hundreds of posts.

Hey, have you tested this by shutting down DVBLink server and then launch DVBViewer and can you then watch the content / channel change with no probs..? if so then I suggest redo your channel setup process and delete your tuners from MCE and start the process again. I found an issue that sometimes when you add the tuner to MCE the channel list freq's don' come across probably.
Do you have 1x tuner or 2, as I have had a prob were 1 tuner works with a channel and not the other. Removing all and readding again fixed it.

OK, I also saw this. What version of acamd and newcs are you using.? also if you open the acamd monitor window and switch channels you will see that it sometimes doesn't find the channel id correctly but using new version of acamd it creates a cache file with program headers in it. Also, ensure you only have acamd in the plugins folder as you don't need anything else. Also, your probelm is if you click one channel then go back to the E! then it works or if you double click it 2 or 3 times it works..?
I think I was having exactly the same problem as you when decoding a second channel (but only the ones mentioned -E! especially). The newcs console was telling me that it was decoding the message in less than 500 ms yet the acamd console kept saying it was 8-900ms meaning lots of jitters/blockies on the decode and media center scrambled message.
I couldn't work out why acamd number 2 was not receiving/decoding it fast enough.
I started playing with the dvbsource.ini latency setting for both instances.
I fiddled with a few values of ud latency and settled on 100 (ms i think 50, was to low for my set up, 350 was the default) and low and behold with 2 tuners it now seems to decode the second tuner perfectly. media center works a treat as well. A bit of a fluke as I don't really know what these vales are actually doing in relation to the deconding etc but it may solve your problem. Worth a crack ...

Still stuck guys. Can you please compare acamd output. I remembered when you do a full transponder scan it can pull up multiple channels. Never emembered seeing one for E! but perhaps there was. Here's my channel output. Are your channel values the same?
I'm probably barking up the wrong tree here but is it possibly something to do with parental ratings or restriction? ie can you watch the programs on the Sky decoder without having to enter a PIN? If you put the card in the Sky decoder and set the parental setting to highest or turn it off then put it back in the PC it may help...(I vaguely remember reading about a similar problem months ago)

Trap for young punters. Because it was intermittent it had me stummped on all counts but, by default, the parental lock is set middle of the road R15 or such like. Had to increase to R20. Solved. Thanks for your suggestion Matt.
