Nice! I might pick it up as well, it was a touching movie, not normally what I enjoy but it had so much Oscar buzz I gave it a shot and enjoyed it.

Haven't mustered the courage or time to watch Killers of the Flower Moon yet 😆

Also wondering what happened to Ridley Scott's Napoleon?? It seems to have vanished, any word on a physical release? I missed it at the movies.

I believe Napoleon was financed / distributed by Apple TV, which typically means it will be streaming well before any physical media is contemplated, much like Flowers of the Killer Moon (also Apple), which I think has only got a physical release in Italy or France. Will prob have to wait for something like a Criterion release, as was the case for The Irishman (Netflix).

Uggghh, that sucks! Appreciate the info!

Welcome to the Weekly 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray & SteelBook Release Schedule for Thursday March 21st.

After adding the Australian releases not yet announced for NZ last week, I have decided to add all of the Australian releases to the schedule. After all they do have different prices and release dates. It should then be a handy reference for everyone each week.

There are two new Australian Boutique releases this week, but we have to wait until next week before NZ has a small bunch of releases to get the year moving. Madame Web has been withdrawn from the JBAU website.

Click on the post# links for the individual release information (artwork, specs, etc.) where available. Just click on the link and it should take you to the correct post. Then click on the back arrow to return to the schedule.

Individual film artwork and specs will be posted as soon as ALL info is available  •  Release dates are subject to change  •  New Releases will be displayed for one week after release date.

GHOSTBUSTERS: Frozen Empire (2024) is getting both Standard and SteelBook Edition releases in the US. Both Editions should be made available in Australia/NZ through All Interactive Distribution.

DUNE: Part Two (2024) cinema release has shifting aspect ratio's (2.39:1 & 1.43:1), but the 4K Ultra HD disc will be fixed at 2.39:1.

Personally I quite like shifting ratio's when done well, like using the full screen ratio for action scenes only, but I'm also okay with a fixed ratio. Either way... bring it on ! 😎

I've just been browsing the Amazon US website for 4K movies. Its amazing how many titles are out of stock, having sold hundreds of copies over the last month. Is this possibly because they are seeing an upsurge in import orders from countries like Australia and NZ, or are they not stocking enough copies because they are afraid to be stuck with them in a shrinking market (so we're told). Either way, physical media doesn't look like going away anytime soon, unless studios decide to get 100% behind streaming.

All of the below titles have been pushed back to April 17th (Probably so they don't have to offer them in the Easter sale)

THE HUNGER GAMES: 5-Film Collection

WONKA (Standard & SteelBook Editions)

Image wise Apple TV+ sits above all others in my Opinion. Great content as well. Not as much choice but what they do have is excellent. Just finished watching the series Masters of the air and it is well worth the watch. Or if a movie is more your thing...perhaps Greyhound for some more WWII drama. An older title but again is excellent. Lots of Dark,Atlantic ocean shots so requires your OLED to really shine.

Damn! I was tempted by the Hunger Games 5 films with a 20% coupon. I've only seen the first one; I'm guessing they are mostly tripe but it would've been good value per movie 😆

I haven't seen the latest Hunger Games film, but I really enjoyed the other four. I was hoping to get the 5-Film Collection on 4K disc in the Easter sale (assuming we have one) but the cheeky sods have pushed it back to April 17th.

I got three months free subscription when I bought my new iPhone. Apple TV+ is definitely one of the better streaming services I've seen. Not as much content as Netflix or Disney+, but what it lacks in quantity, it makes up for in quality in my opinion. Watched the first eight episodes of Masters of the Air, so one more to go. Then I'll try to find time to watch Killers of the Flower Moon and Napoleon

I was going to do the same. I'm sure JBAU will have a long weekend sale too, might try to order from them instead of waiting for the local release. Hoping to pick up a few other titles like Ferrari too that don't release here for another couple of weeks.
