Tempted by JB AU Oceans Trilogy. Not really something I've been desperate to own, but OTOH same price in AU$ as Amazon US$...

EDIT - Would be $110NZ from Am US apparently. Do get free shipping though. Resist resist resist...

...or the UK trilogy is also a hundred and a bit from Amazon UK and its a steelbook and has 4Ks plus blurays.

Too much, much too much...

And I received mine today from Amazon UK, which I wasn't expecting. It's a bit of a relief though, as a few days ago the Amazon package tracker changed from shipped back to ordered. And on the same day I got a random email from "noreply.uk@asendia.com" saying "Your order has been dispatched from our warehouse in the UK and should be delivered to you soon", along with a parcel tracking reference number and a link to track the parcel which didn't work. They also had my delivery address. I've never heard Asendia, so I started suspecting some shenanigans were going on.

Thankfully all was good, and the steelbook is quite lovely. I'm glad I got all three movies in one package as I'm seriously starting to run out of shelf space for my movies.

Also got one of those Ascendia things yesterday. Was thinking it was for a magazine sub I renewed from the UK the day before, now you've got me wondering.  I do use Ascendia quite a bit for tracking though for Amazon stuff, saves having to log in each time to check.

Am still tempted, but not really for the steelbook bit, more for the 6 discs instead of three bit...

Well, I just browsed the JBAU sale. I added 300, Casino Royale, Skyfall and Spectre to my cart. I have added 300 in previous sales, but it always declined to ship to my country. Amazingly, all four titles were accepted.

The "Bond" films all had 20% off and were also included in the Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer. Win, win. I already have No Time to Die, so I'll grab "Quantum" another time. I'm a happy camper 😁

I often think its the ones that say 'only one per customer' that they don't / won't send (probably mentioned that before)...

Abyss 4k JB NZ Release.

Am very surprised to see this on their website. Late May release.

I understood Fox/Disney titles will no longer be released in NZ, did I miss an announcement?

Cheers.

The Abyss and True Lies on the JBNZ website are US imports. JB must be testing the market, so hopefully we will get more in the future.

Fox/Disney haven't changed their stance on Australian releases, but some sellers are importing popular titles. It will be interesting to see if we get Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes here, which is a Fox title.

EDIT: Just seen that DVD Land have Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes on Blu-ray and DVD up for Pre-order. If they can get the BD and DVD releases, then we can expect a 4K release somewhere along the line.

I was browsing Blu-ray.com late last night and I found a Kiwi was selling a sealed US copy of The Wolf of Wall Street 4K. Apparently he had mistakenly ordered it twice. I immediately PM'd him and a deal was done for NZ$20 including shipping from Wellington.

I have had this film on my Amazon US wish list for months. I was really pleased to be able to get it for NZ$20. You just have to get lucky sometimes 😁

The disc will be replacing the Blu-ray inside this SteelBook.
