The ONCE UPON A TIME IN THE WEST Limited Edition looks great. $100 is a bit out of my price range for this film, unfortunately.

Oh well, I'll stick to Zavvi and hope they do actually post here.

I realised that JBNZ will probably have a sale over king's bday weekend. What are the chances these aren't sold out by then?

From time to time they have been known to exclude very new releases from they regular 20% sales, - but it's two weeks away, I suspect their stock might get exhausted by then,,,

I've definitely decided to wait for the Dune: Part Two JBNZ SteelBook.

My Amazon US order says it'll be delivered this Wednesday, and has said that since the 10th of April. It also says it hasn't shipped yet, so I'm not holding my breath!

Edit: Just (Tuesday morning) got a notification that it's been delayed until the 24th.

Hey everyone,

There’s a really interesting post over on the Facebook group called “NZ DVD’s & BLURAY, BUY SELL PAGE” (I can’t post the link sorry). It’s from the buyer for JB NZ, and he gives some insights into the process of importing titles etc. Worth a look. There’s a bunch of people asking about specific titles and he is giving info which is nice.

If you join the group just search for Andor and it should come up.

This 4K Ultra HD title will be available from Amazon US and also look for it on Amazon AU.

PHANTOMS (1998) Collector's Edition • 4K Ultra HD & Blu-ray (Region A Locked) • Dolby Vision/HDR10 • DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 & 2.0 • 1.85:1 • 96 Mins. • July 16

In the small village of Snowfield, Colorado, something evil has been awakened from its centuries-long slumber ... something with the power to wipe out humanity as we know it. The unsuspecting Dr. Jennifer Pailey (Joanna Going) brings her sister Lisa (Rose McGowan) to Snowfield, only to find the town empty but for a few survivors. As the tension and terror mount, only the few who have been left behind — the Pailey sisters, a noted journalist (Peter O'Toole), the town sheriff (Ben Affleck), and his deputy (Liev Schreiber) — stand between the mysterious entity that lurks beneath Snowfield and the rest of mankind ... if they can survive.

Based on the book by suspense master Dean Koontz (who also wrote the screenplay), Phantoms is a slickly pulse-pounding sci-fi/horror thrill ride!

Its going to be an expensive next few months. Another film getting good reviews is The Fall Guy. JBAU have the Standard and SteelBook Editions on their website and I expect that JBNZ will get them at a later date. The trailer looks like a lot of fun.

Add to this: Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, Furiosa, Deadpool & Wolverine, Alien: Romulus, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, Dune: Part Two and more. Good thing my wife is still working 😁

Another title that piques my interest is Guy Ritchie's The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. It has a poor worldwide Box-Office return, which, unfortunately is the same way that Ritchie's last few films have gone. I've seen them all and really enjoyed them and I can't really see any reason why "Ministry" won't be another fun addition to his portfolio. SteelBook Artwork  #3226364

Of course I will. I have been accepted as a member and I do have a snippet of information for you.

JBNZ's buyer is also attempting to import Titanic 4K. He received a sample of the US release which included the 4K version and a Blu-ray of special features. The Blu-ray is, apparently, region A locked.

He is now looking at importing the UK 3-Disc release, which includes the film on both 4K and Blu-ray, plus the special features Blu-ray.

The guy seems to know his stuff, which is refreshing.

There is some interest in the Disney SteelBooks; I recommend a Pre-order.

EDIT: The UK Titanic 3-Disc set is available from Amazon AU for AU$44.77. With an extra -9% saving if you buy two or more titles in the -9% promotion. I doubt that JBNZ will be cheaper.

More from JBNZ's Physical Media Buyer.

He has a copy of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier SteelBook  coming, to submit to the NZ Classification Office for a rating. Some films cost too much to get a rating for, so he has to tread carefully.

Studio Ghibli's The Boy and the Heron 4K and Blu-ray will be released in our territory. It just hasn't been announced yet.

He is looking to import The Creator, which is a Fox title, but he says that it would be around $90, IF he goes ahead and orders.

I left him a message complementing him on his efforts.
