slicker: I just used the latest ones for Vista from their site. This was with Build 6502. Worked fine for DVB-T.

Thats what I had done, and the drivers do install fine, but in build 7000 it doesn't detect the card in Media Centre, haven't tried any other builds so not sure if it is something I am doing wrong, or its no longer supported

I had a similar problem with the HVR2200 card. I think that there was a clash with PowerCinema which must take control of the driver at startup, but in fact doesnt work in Win7. So I totally uninstalled PowerCinema and the TV card drivers and rebooted. On restart Win7 didnt recognise the card at all, or try to install it. From Device Manager I 'updated drivers' from the unrecognised media device from the Hauppage installation disk and it installed and suddenly it played nice with Win7 Media Center. Very nicely.

MhegAddin is working fine on my 64 bit laptop, but on the 32 bit desktop it is crashing - but I can't find this option you listed...

Any ideas?

Ok, found it. It's now on Settings / Start Menu and Extras / Edit Extras Library.

I haven't installed PowerCinema :( From a clean W7 install I have only installed the latest drivers from Hauppage website

I installed windows beta 7 7000 and it installed all but two of my Hauappage 4000 drivers, I downloaded the drivers only package from www.Hauppauge.co.uk site for Vista 32 and then ran the setup file, card is working fine for DVB-T under WMC and DVB Viewer.

DVB-S + DVB-S + DVB-T + DVB-T

And, that mix could come from different model cards:
eg.
PVR2200 + Nova T 500

Am currently running Vista Ultimate with TV Pack. I assume W7MC will be the same.

Tuners I have running are DVB-S + DVB-S (BGT3540) + DVB-T (actually DVB-S thru Nova -S but using DVBSBridge) + Analogue + Analogue (HVR2200) + Analogue (PVR150MCE). So 2 + 1 + 3 I could probably take out the 150 and use the 2 2200 analogue tuners instead but will leave it there for prime UHF when I get around to trying DVB-T with Windows 7.

Can you please tell me where you purchased your BGT3540 from?

Also, is the DVBT and analogue seperate or is it a hybrid?

Got the card direct from Blackgold along with a group of others here on Geekzone in order to save on shipping costs. Larry (red5ive) organised the actual deal so probably has all the contact info.
I think the DVB-T/Analogue tuners are hybrid, though I'm not 100% sure as I am now only using the DVB-T side and the PVR-150 is doing the analogue for me. It's a great card though, well worth it.

Hey, I'm running:

AMD Phenom 9750 (long story why - in short it's because I was upgrading from an AM2 cpu which supports some AM2+ cpus)
4 gigs 800Mhz DDR2
Hauppauge 2200 (using the drivers on the disk, as windows update wouldn't recognise the device or find drivers by itself)
Sapphire Ati hd4870 (have tried the drivers w7 installs by default and the w7 beta drivers offered by AMD)
Philips 47" 1080 lcd
Windows 7 beta 7000

I can add my confirmation to what others have been saying about the 2200 drivers - if you use the CD it works fine.

I have another problem, and I'm honestly not sure if it's a windows 7 thing or something to do with my ati video card... maybe someone could direct me to the right place?

The only channels I can tune into are 1, 2, 3 and the HD preview channel. Any other channels have munted-looking green and black squares for their video most of the time. Even the channels that work go all jittery every so often, which is fixable by minimising then maximising Media Center.

Looking at old threads suggests that there are issues with ati graphics cards and h.264 acceleration. Is this likely? The old threads I could find didn't seem to mention the hd 4000 range as they were 6 months old. Do the hd 4850s and 4870s still have this issue? How do I turn off hardware acceleration in media center? I'm imagining that I might not absolutely need acceleration, as my cpu is pretty decent and supposedly windows 7 is better optimised to make use of quad cores. Either way, it would definately be worth giving it a try!

For those who are having MHEG issues I see that the fix MS issued to stop MP3 corruption also apaprently includes a fix to MHEG - doesn't say what or why:

Playback and recording issues that are fixed in this update:

Protected tuning sources, such as OCUR and ISDB, do not function correctly.
MHEG (iTV) in Europe does not function correctly.
Recording of a series may fail after some time if the system was upgraded from Windows Vista and the recording of that series was set up in Windows Vista.
Windows Vista DVR-MS recordings do not play back in Windows Media Center or in Windows Media Player.
Windows Media Center may become unstable when you perform recording operations.

I'm still in the process of downloading it (got my license key - yay!) so haven't tested it or the fix at all yet...

Thanks for pointing out the patch, I've just installed it and no longer get the Mheg crashing error when starting TV, but still no guide data is retreived :( Hopefully someone else has more luck

Finally got it working after a complete re-install, not really sure what went wrong. Anyone loaded up the analogue channels with the HVR4000? Mine got half way through a scan and then crashed the computer.

DVB-T is brilliant natively in W7MC - It seems better than it was in Media Portal which was how I was running it on VMC

It requires a sattelite connection for a guide and is a little complicated to set up. It misses some recodings occasionally.

Let me get this right, there is no guide on DVB-T (Freeview HD), not even the now and next quide?

No satellite in my house, and no analogue either so only really want Freeview HD and a working EPG. If that meens now and next only then so be it.

Also I see people with Nova-T-500 dual DVB-T tuners having issues, is this still the case or is there a fix?

As far as I can tell, there's no NZ guide for DVB-T in windows 7 yet. For me, it's failing to pick up a guide, just like it does with vista. I'm guessing that microsoft haven't set one up yet? Hopefully they'll get round to it...

Really looking forward to trying Win 7 when the iso finally finishes downloading. Now to hook up a UHF ariel to my HVR4000 and get some HD goodness going. Pity that, no matter how clear the signal, what's on TV is still utter sh*t...

Installed, hit Windows Update & got latest Nova 500-T drivers, also installed patch I referenced above.

Ran thru MCE setup, it detected and set up the twin tuners with no problems.

No guide data tho - does anybody know if the MHEG addin has to be configured at all to work? Or is it just broken with our flavour of MHEG5?

Apparently W7 MCE has a built-in xml guide import tool, but the xml data format hasn't been published yet. The Aussies are working on it here:

So hopefully not too far away...

Would be nice to get MHEG data tho...
