Anyone got a source for a proper NZ/AU connector for the AC adaptor?

Im so happy my shield came with a universal power supply where you just swap the end on the official power supply..

I really dont like having to use those power adapter converts

Yeah cheap Chinese ones can be quite deadly as they allow you swap ground with phase.

With the 2019 latest version of the nVidia Shield TV Pro is it ok to simply order it from the USA or are there complications with using the imported product here in NZ.  I ask that as I have not yet seen it listed with major re-sellers in NZ.

I ordered my original Shield from the US - without issue. I see no reason why the new one would be any different.

Yeah, that's the bit I want. Mine didn't come with an AU/NZ shim.

Let me know how you go,

I've just ordered one from USA and not sure what adaptor it's going to come with.

How did you all go with the power adaptors?

I managed to get a used Shield TV 2019 and a used Shield Pro 2019. Unfortunately the Pro only came with a US power adaptor.

I have been using an HTPC for a very long time, but with a new X900H I am keen to use dolby vision.

Also the 10/100 ethernet (or the AC wireless connecting at 850mbps - yeah right) on the TV (using Plex) can't even handle 60Mbps remuxes.

Really? I stream huge 1080p and 4k files with MA audio from my NAS to shield with no issue on ethernet or the wireless.... may be a network issue rather than the shield?

“On the TV”. The TV can’t stream a 65mbit + atmos file on the plex tv app over ac wireless or 10/100.

The shield should be able to handle it.

I Streamed 4K movies over the weekend to my older Shield with no issues at all.

I stream to my FireTV Stick which has 100Mbit connection over usb no problem.

The TV or the TV app is the limitation.

the SHIELD can handle a full 4k bluray REMUX, as long as it can direct play it and plex doesnt attempt to transcode it

if your setup cant handle the audio and or subtitles natively

in general you will want the shield plugged into a av receiver, on gigabit ethernet, with passthrough enabled in the plex  app

to achieve its maximum playback capabilities (100GB+ 4k HDR REMUX in plex)

*tube shield excluded

Yes I can confirm while the new tube shield can play 99% of files perfectly it does still stutter on the occasional 4K HDR high bitrate things. The shield pro has no such problems. I had to update to the shield pro and no longer have any issues.

My Shields have been going well. I just used a travel adaptor to sort out the pro.

The pro or the tube isn't as snappy around the menus as my TV, but obviously the playback destroys it. I don't play anything high bitrate on the tube.

I wish it could do dual bluetooth audio streaming. Will have to find an adaptor.
